hello friends,
it seems only fitting to open this blog with the singular spotting that inspired it all. that “out-of-the-corner-of-my-eye,” slow motion movie scene, object of instant affection.
for me, that honor goes to this divine floral wedge from forever 21. and how could it not? i get all giddy everytime i just think of it.
possible pairings might include a blue/navy and white striped top (henley pictured here, boatneck’s also a great option) and a vintagey flower headband in mustard or a lighter yellow.

[...] i found this delightfully ruffled-collar top at marshalls a few years back, and have always just worn it on its own. well, figuring black and white stripes are classic in every situation, i decided to introduce these two pieces to each other, adding a drop-waisted black skirt, opaque tights and the floral wedges that set this whole blog in motion. [...] i still need to invest in some colored bottoms, so i played it a bit safe and paired my new find with some dark trouser jeans and the roundtoe floral wedges that set this blog in motion. [...]
